HALO 5 Whole House Water Treatment System
Salt-free filtration and conditioning for homes on city water
The HALO 5 treats every drop entering the house through five stages of filtration and conditioning, and it does it with no salt, no brine tank and no standing service appointment. It is Water Quality Association tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 61, and it is the system we reach for when a Upstate South Carolina home is on municipal water and the complaint is chlorine taste, scale buildup, or both at once.

How It Differs From Our ENVY™ Systems
This is the first question we get, and the honest answer is that the two lines are built for different water.
Our ENVY™ Sulfur Eliminator and ENVY™ Iron Eliminator systems are well water equipment. They use air-injection oxidation and backwashing filter media to physically pull hydrogen sulfide and iron out of the water, because that is what private wells around Pendleton, Fair Play and the rural stretches of Anderson, Pickens and Oconee counties actually deliver.
The HALO 5 is designed for potable water from a municipal provider. Instead of removing hardness minerals through ion exchange the way a softener does, its HALO ION stage conditions them so they stay suspended in the water rather than plating out as scale on your pipes, water heater and fixtures. HALO does allow that the system can be effective on well water, but only after a water quality analysis has been reviewed first. That is a test we run before quoting you either system, so you are not paying for the wrong equipment.
The Five Stages
Sizing and Specifications
The HALO 5 comes in four sizes. We pick one on the flow your house actually needs, not on square footage alone.
- HALO 5 – 1" (H5-100): 2 to 8 GPM, 1,000,000 gallon capacity, 10" x 54" tank. Typically about ten years for a family of four.
- HALO 5 – 1.25" (H5-125): 2 to 8 GPM, 1,500,000 gallons, 12" x 52" tank. Sized for a family of six.
- HALO 5 – 1.5" (H5-150): 4 to 15 GPM, 2,000,000 gallons, 13" x 65" tank.
- HALO 5 – 2" (H5-200): 9 to 25 GPM, 3,000,000 gallons, 16" x 65" tank.
The Vortech tank uses up to 30% less water on backwash than a standard tank, and the Clack control valve keeps its programming through a power outage, which is worth having in storm season. The HALO 5 is a residential, cold-water system rated to a maximum of 80 psi, and it is intended for water that is already microbiologically safe.
