ENVY™ Sulfur Filter (Single Tank)

Eliminate Rotten Egg Odor & Enjoy Clean, Odor-Free Water
The Envy Sulfur Filter is a high-efficiency, chemical-free solution designed to remove hydrogen sulfide gas—the source of the unpleasant “rotten egg” smell often found in well water. This powerful filtration system uses advanced oxidation technology to eliminate odors and improve taste, clarity, and overall water quality throughout your home.
How the ENVY™ Sulfur Filter Single Tank Purifies Your Water
The ENVY™ Sulfur Filter uses air injection oxidation (AIO) or catalytic filtration media to oxidize hydrogen sulfide gas as water flows through the tank. Once oxidized, the sulfur particles are captured in the filter media and flushed away during automatic backwash cycles.
This self-cleaning system runs on a timer or digital valve, requiring no chemicals or harsh additives to maintain performance.
The ENVY™ Sulfur Filter Single Tank stores a “bubble” or air, compressed by your well pressure, within the media tank. Your water passes through the air, the (H2S sulfur gas) is converted to a particle which is then trapped by the catalytic filter media in the tank while the air “bubble” is gradually consumed by the passing water.
For regeneration, the unit first “backwashes” itself, removing any H2S particles it has trapped. The system then replenishes the “air bubble” by drawing in atmosphere, temporarily emptying the tank of all water and transferring oxygen molecules into and on the surface of the media bed where all oxidation occurs. The system then returns to the “service” position, again filtering your water.
Add an ozone generator option and the ENVY™ Sulfur Filter Single Tank system is automatically sanitized during the regeneration process.

Frequently Asked Questions What causes the “rotten egg” smell in my water? The rotten egg odor is caused by hydrogen sulfide gas (H₂S), commonly found in well water. It can be unpleasant, and corrosive, and may stain fixtures or appliances. The Envy Sulfur Filter is specifically designed to eliminate this odor at the source.
The system uses air injection oxidation or catalytic media to convert hydrogen sulfide gas into solid particles, which are then filtered out. The system automatically flushes these particles during a scheduled backwash cycle—no chemicals needed.
The Envy Sulfur Filter is focused on hydrogen sulfide removal. If your water also contains iron or manganese, we recommend pairing it with a dedicated iron/manganese filter or a combo system designed to handle multiple contaminants.
Yes. The Envy Sulfur Filter is a chemical-free system and uses natural oxidation and filtration methods. It improves taste, removes odor, and is completely safe for drinking, cooking, and bathing.
Monthly:
- Inspect the air injection system to ensure proper air draw
- Check for leaks or clogs
Annually:
- Have the system inspected and cleaned if needed
- Replace media every 5–10 years, depending on water quality
- The system is automated and low-maintenance, thanks to its self-cleaning design.
